Aquino praises workers in last Labor Day message as president: President Benigno Aquino III, in his last Labor Day message as president of the Philippines, lauded Filipino workers for their hard work. But unlike in his previous messages where he openly campaigned for administration bets and the “daang matuwid” [straight path], the president subtly called on the workers to continue the reforms his administration has initiated.
